WHAT IS IT?

TUSC365 Frisbee Fridays invite players to practice and play ultimate frisbee right after school on various middle school campuses around the Austin area. These afternoons will prioritize lots of SCRIMMAGING and GAME-LIKE PLAY. The goal here is a fun, inclusive, welcoming environment where players can learn, compete, and decompress at the end of the week. We’re also emphasizing COMMUNITY-BUILDING, to help foster connection between athletes and families. All practices will be staffed by vetted, trained TUSC365 coaches to offer instruction and guidance alongside these playing opportunities.

WHY FRIDAYS?

Modeled after several other successful programs in the Austin area (such as St. Francis School, LASA High School, and Paragon Prep), these FRISBEE FRIDAYS are possible because they avoid scheduling conflicts with most other school sports, increasing field space and player availability! We also hope that playing together on Friday afternoons will encourage players and parents/guardians to gather after practice for some social time, building rapport and familiarity with each other. (Pro Tip: This might also help with carpools!)

WHERE IS IT?

All of the above practices will be on 6 consecutive Fridays, October 16th - November 20th.

All practices will be held on the sports/playground field at their designated campuses. Click the links above for specific school addresses.

Players are eligible to sign up for any of the locations/days that work for them, regardless of their school enrollment.

WHO IS IT FOR?

  • Ages 11-14 [Grades 6-8]

    • Younger / older players accepted on a case-by-case basis; contact tusculti@gmail.com to inquire!

    • Ann Richards Frisbee Fridays are open to players in grades 6-12 / ages 11-18.

  • All genders

  • All abilities

  • All experience levels

  • All campuses

    • Students are welcome to register for these events even if they attend a different school than any of those listed above! We recommend mapping out the distance to the closest location to you, and considering which day of the week might be most convenient for your family, your schedule, and your travel!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

TUSC365 strongly believes in reducing barriers for kids to play ultimate. With that in mind, our payment model has a sliding scale with four different options, so that families may select the price that aligns most closely with their budget.

  1. Consider paying the REGULAR PRICE ($125) if this amount would be neither a financial hardship nor sacrifice for you and/or your family. This option ensures that all expenses are covered for our program to function.

  2. Consider using the PAY IT FORWARD PRICE ($175) to cover the cost of your registration and to directly facilitate opportunities for other players. This option also directly benefits other youth ultimate players in our community by ensuring that all expenses are covered for our program to function, AND that ALL PLAYERS receive the same high-quality experience regardless of their financial circumstances.

  3. Consider paying the discounted Accessibility Rate ($75) if the Regular Price or the Pay it Forward Price would lead to a harmful impact on you and/or your family.

    Please note that for our sliding scale to be successful, we rely on families that can pay the Regular Price to do so, or to help others participate by paying the Pay it Forward price. We also offer deeper discounted rates and full scholarships, if necessary. Contact tusculti@gmail.com to learn more about these options.

  4. Consider the TRIAL OPTION if you’re brand-new to the sport and want to check it out before submitting payment. Players may attend TWO Frisbee Fridays before being charged. However, we still require a full registration form and player waiver in order to participate. If you attend third practice, we will charge you the balance for the season.

HOW TO REGISTER:

  1. Identify your price point (see above).

  2. Click the corresponding button (below) to checkout.

  3. Submit payment.

  4. Once payment is complete, you’ll be redirected to a registration form. Be sure to fill out every field on this form and hit “submit” at the end. [Registration is not complete until both payment and the form have been submitted.]

  5. Watch for a confirmation email and more information.

  6. Thank you for joining us! See you on the field!
